Dialogue in the Dark – Dialogue in Silence Museum Trip

Our Visit to the Dialogue Museum as the Social Responsibility Club
As members of the Social Responsibility Club, we visited the Dialogue Museum located at Gayrettepe Metro Station in the Şişli district of Istanbul. During our visit, we had the opportunity to experience two main sections of the museum: Dialogue in the Dark and Dialogue in Silence.

In this unique experience, we explored the beautiful streets of Istanbul in an environment completely isolated from light and sound. By trying to understand the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities in daily life, we developed a deeper sense of empathy. The fact that the museum guides were individuals with disabilities allowed us to listen to their experiences firsthand and gain a new perspective on communication barriers.

Through this enlightening educational trip, we raised awareness, enhanced our ability to empathize, and learned valuable insights on effective communication with individuals with disabilities. We extend our gratitude to all the Social Responsibility Club students and teachers who participated in this meaningful experience.
