Our heart pumps 8 tons of blood in a day, 3,000 tons in a year, and 240,000 tons in 80 years. Assuming that the average human lifespan is 80 years, the blood pumped is enough to fill 24,000 tankers with a capacity of about 10 tons. In order to better understand this magnificent structure of the Circulatory System and how it works, we prepared a “Circulatory System Model” and exhibited it so that our students can see it.
